This week has been unexpected. I've learned a lot that I wished I hadn't.

At least, this weekend wasn't a complete waste. I was able to stop at Hogsmeade and replenish a few supplies, as well as spend some much needed time with Junpei. I'm glad he's doing well..

Breakfast was disgusting; I wouldn't have eaten a second bite if it hadn't been for the fact that I have a long day ahead today... I knew I wouldn't get a break for lunch, so I had no choice.

I'm going to be spending my lunch hour in the library, reading up on dark magic again. It's so interesting; I can't stop myself. I've tried, but then I tell myself that it's good to know everything if you're going to be an auror, so I might as well.

Also, I think the hormones flying around my dorm room are catching. I'm a little jealous; I pretend I don't have time for anyone between God and my studies, but I could make room. Anyone interested? Meet me in the library around noon~.

I know I can't be the only person who's tired of hearing about the health care bill. Or anything about health care in general. Personally, even though I'm totally for reform, I think this is going to fail hard core. Their intentions are [supposedly] good, but I think they're going about it wrong.

And by wrong I mean doing it too damn fast.

I've been reading the paper, and you know, one person had this idea. I think he based it off of the Swiss health care plan? Who knows. But don't make companies pay for a person's health care. Have it so that each individual person/families, go and buy their own health care. Then instead of corporations getting the tax credit for giving their employees, the citizens get it because they're the ones who bought it. I think that's a pretty decent idea, or at least to me.

Everyone is talking about making it competitive and yadda yadda, I think that would be the most competitive. Especially if people could shop across state lines for care. You can get your care from anyone in the nation. There would be a bajillion different plans [not that there aren't now e__e] and you could find one that fits you perfectly. It'd be like shopping for car insurance.

Then it would be all on that person to find insurance for themselves. And you know, TECHNICALLY, since that big expense isn't being paid for by the companies anymore, they should be able to pay their employees more. [I doubt they would. Straight into their profit margin get] And small businesses without insurance, well... It would stay the same for them. Their employees had to go buy their own anyway, but now they'd have better options.

I dunno. I'm just regurgitating what I read and trying to make sense of it, but I guarantee that whatever they're trying to do now is going through so fast that there are bounds of extras snuck in there [like the stimulus] and some things have loopholes, regulations are too biased against [and for] certain people.

*shrugs* Aa well. It'll happen. Perhaps I'll write to my senators. I doubt I'd get a response, but fff. What would they say besides 'We're glad you're following the debate, and we will give all ideas their due time on the floor of the Senate =D'.

Okay, so my tags have been kinda few and far between of late, for that I apologise. There has just been so much going on of late, between essays I need to work on, reading for seminars and having to be more 'flexible' for work and do a good bit of overtime. So, I am just going to call a semi-hiatus for now until Monday hopefully, just to give myself some time to get this workload under control. I may still get current tags back and forth when I'm having a break, but I can't make promises.

Well, I just saw the Clean House episode for the yard sale Mama and I went up to see that while ago...we didn't appear anywhere in the episode (as I kind of expected), but it was interesting to see how some of the stuff we saw filmed was clipped together. I must say, though, the family for the house we went to for the yard sale has perhaps the brattiest, most ungrateful little boy I've ever seen. He was sharing a room with a stepbrother, and he seemed to just refuse to accept having any less than 90% of their shared room, not because he disliked the brother, but because he seemed to think he needed that much of the space. Of course he got 50% by the end of the show, and he was just determined to complain about it. No offense to the parents, but that kid needs serious counseling. Hell, even Niecy Nash had trouble with the kid.

And I have a set of mini-Philosophy papers due on Monday and I've only now just started working on it. Rawr. I hate non-opinion papers, particularly ones where people make their own damn special requests for bibliography format....but hey, that's partly just because I despise bibliographies in general, as no one can decide on what stupid format to use across the board. >>

I'm thinking of possible AMV projects for Christmas...guess one of those projects will probably end up being for whoever I get for the Tutu Gift Exchange. I'm curious to see who I get. Whatever I do, though, I hope to do a huge-ass video where I can use clips both from Christmas movies and from Tutu to the song "What is Christmas?" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (no videos with it on Youtube so you can hear it: TOTAL FAIL), sung by Autor. Just because it's been a lawlzy idea for me for months. XD; If not that, who knows, maybe I'll think of something else.

And this weekend we're getting headshots done so we hopefully can have them ready for Actorfest next week in LA...I really, really want to go with other people in my class, but I REALLY NEED TO REGISTER, DAMN IT, GET OFF YOUR ASS, TORY. DX *sigh* After this Philosophy paper is done, maybe.
